Excellent performing and disease-resistant F1 variety that develops roots with delicious flavour. Uniform roots ensure easy and consistent harvests.
Sowing outdoors: Sow seeds thinly in pre-watered shallow rows and cover with a thin layer of soil. As seedlings develop, thin to about 15cm (6in) apart when they have three to four leaves. You can sow in rows or in containers to suit your space and purpose.
Keep soil moist while plants are developing.
Tip- swedes do well in soil that has not been recently manured.
Harvest: September- February. Swedes are extra hardy and will withstand winter frosts which means you can lift individual swedes as and when you require. If you want to harvest in one go to relieve space, store swedes in dry sand or peat.
A bit about the brand: It was back in 1903 that William Unwin sold his first sweet pea seeds. And today Unwins has grown to sell a great variety of seeds for every gardener.
