I bought this for my 2 year old grand daughter's new bedroom. I see that it is designed for 6 year old and over. However I have to say that if a 6 year old were to do it, I cannot imagine the mess that there would be. I was covered in glitter from head to toe! Ha!Ha! So would recommend that help would be needed for that age group. That having been said the final article is beautiful and I am very pleased with it indeed.
