Latex is made from a concentrated formula based on natural rubber. It can be used to make moulds of simple and complicated shapes of all size, or for making multiple casts with plaster and is ready for casting resin forms. It is ideal for use in contemporary jewellery making and a whole host of crafty projects. Latex is often used in prop production in films and plays.
This moulding latex can be brushed onto an object for an even layer before it dries you need to repeat the process until it reaches thickness of 2mm. Alternatively, objects can be dip coated in the solution of 1 part latex to 1 part water, repeating until a thickness of 2mm is achieved then leave it to set for 12 hours and peel the finished mould off the object.
