I had not heard of this brand, despite pastels being my medium of choice. I usually used Prismacolour sticks' edges to define detail, as the famous name pastel pencils I own can be hard textured and have their place in my studio. At the Art Society another member had bought these and I tried them out. I was so impressed by their depth of pigment and creamy softness of application that I sourced them online. At less than £1 per pencil but with a protective wooden box, I think these are excellent value from this company (more expensive for this set elsewhere). The only negative to report is that certain colours (eg flesh tone) are missing and are not produced by Bruynzeel sadly, but overall I would highly recommend this brand of pastel pencils. I am enjoying using them.
