Gifts Ideas for Father’s Day

Father’s Day is fast approaching – last minute changes to plans and extra presents are part of the course.   Image found on unsplash.com As they say….   My dad never wants anything – but likes everything, and buys both fun and mundane things seemingly at random. I am assuming there is a method to it and it works for him. He had his midlife crisis and bought a white convertible – this turned out to be immensely practical for the family (with the roof down literally anything would fit!) and... Read More

Introducing Emily from Inside-Out Garden Design our New Upcycling Tutor

Meet Emily our New Upcycle Tutor!           What’s your background? Well, right from a child I have always had a natural leaning towards making things with my hands.  I grew up with my mum making clothes for me and my dad did all of the DIY around the house.   At about 5 years old (I guess), I have a vivid memory of being in the garage with my Dad playing with a blunt old saw trying to use it while he was making something else.... On the Eighth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me.. Eight Maids a Milking = 8 Milky Drinks

But I would say that we just love good quality coffee. To the point that we don’t really drink instant coffee (it’s a bit of a swear word here). Today I’m going to be looking at 8 milk based hot drinks that we know and love here.       A few years a few of us visited the London Coffee Festival at the old Truman Brewery. Looking back at the blog and remembering how good it was. I may have to visit them next year, if you... Read More

On the Second Day of Christmas my true love gave to me.. Two turtle Doves & some Spectrum Noir Sparkle

I like glitter but it has a time and place and although Christmas is definitely it. I didn’t think I would love them as much as I do. Brush pens to me have to be smooth and easy to use with a good bristle, so I couldn’t see how it was going to be glittery.       I quickly drew out a sketch of two turtle doves who happen to be in perfect colours for the Spectrum Noir glitter brush pens.   I sketched them... ♥ Everyone loves a Blanket

I don’t know about you. But I love it when the weather turns a bit colder because that just means that I can pull out a blanket.   …. Who am I kidding, I probably could use a blanket during the majority of the year. I just appreciate it a lot more in the winter.     When I  knit or crochet, my furry little friend Fila generally joins me on the sofa.     One of the things I have started doing since learning to crochet is to make... My name is Dana and I love to wrap gifts!
