Celebrating 30 years of creativity & Our Competition Winners

First off, let us start with a massive THANK YOU to all our customers. Without you and your support, we never would have made it here and what an incredible journey it has been. Through recessions to pandemics, our passion for arts and crafts has never wavered and we’ve weathered every storm with the loyalty and hard work of our customers and our team.

I know a lot of our customers know our story, but for those that don’t, Crafty Arts was born in 1991. A solution to a need that Lorraine, the founder, had. Lorraine was a sign writer by trade and struggled to find the art materials she needed for her beautiful work. So, Lorraine opened Crafty Arts, alongside her husband Nik, in Ardleigh Green, Hornchurch and started an incredible journey. With Lorraine being so creative and Nik so incredibly business minded, they were a perfect duo to start the Crafty Arts brand that we all know and love today. You can read our entire story here

Fast forward to 2021, Crafty Arts, now not only a shop, but a classroom, an online retailer plus much more, has grown to an established, but still local, one stop shop for all things creative. Now run by Nik and Lorraine’s son, Jay and his wife, Natasha (who welcomed their beautiful boy Judah earlier this month), we consider Crafty Arts your “friendly local online hobby shop”.

Natasha, Jay, Nik and Judah Necati – 3 generations!

Celebrating our 30th Birthday is an incredible acheivement, and something we are so incredibly proud of. 2020 was an incredibly hard year, and to bring something positive out of the last 15 months, we decided to host our BIGGEST competition yet! Giving away over £2000 worth of prizes. Although Covid meant we couldn’t celebrate with all our customers, we wanted to do the next best thing which was to invite you to our celebrations live on Instagram and throught the day with our social posts. We celebrated with cake and champagne, a decorated office and a (socially distanced) birthday party and of course, some new team photos.

Team Crafty Arts

Once everyone was well fed, it was time for the flash sale (we hope you got something good!) and to announce our winners! We were so blown away by the sheer talent that we saw, with over 1000 entries into the competition, we are so proud to have such talented customers that choose to shop with Crafty Arts. After many, many tries, we finally came to a decision on our winners and runner ups. To say it was hard would be an incredible understatement!
