Introducing Lynda – our Stamping Queen Contributor
Hi. I’m thrilled to be introducing myself to you all here on the Crafty Arts blog, where I will be sharing some crafting projects, hints and tips over the coming months, especially when it comes to stamping. I’m Lynda, and I live in Hampshire with my husband, two teenage daughters, and three rather bouncy dogs. As if they don’t keep me busy enough, I also run my own thriving childcare business from home too .
My life is hectic and constant, and for me, like many others, crafting is a way to relax and lose myself and regain my sanity in a crazy world. It’s an escape, and has become essential to my emotional wellbeing over recent years.
I have been crafting in one way or another for as many years as I can recall. As a child I used to make characters from rocks, and build houses for them from junk. As a teenager I took up cross stitch and spent hours with a needle and thread creating keepsakes for family and friends.
Around 12yrs ago I discovered the wonderful world of paper craft and card making when I wanted to create a card for a child that I cared for. That basic card, with its little green fish on it, swimming towards glittery reeds, took me on a journey I will forever be grateful for.
Using the joy that is social media as a learning tool, my crafting has progressed somewhat. These days I am at my happiest when up to my eyes in ink and paint learning new techniques. Experimenting and having fun. I still love card making of course, but also enjoy mixed media work. Currently, I serve on three design teams, creating various styles of art, using an array of different products.
I’m really excited to have been invited to be a contributor to the Crafty Arts blog. I look forward to sharing some more projects using their wonderful products here very soon.
