The Fun Day is Here!

I hope that you had an amazing Bank Holiday weekend.

This time last week we were prepping for our annual Family Fun Day.

This event was months in the making and Dana had everything organised down to the T. Leading up to the Saturday Fun Day it was prep prep and more prep.

For those that don’t know, this was our second annual Fun Day, which was full of Art, Craft, Demos, Cakes and a lot of laughter.

Dobby from Snazaroo was back with her amazing face painting creations.

Dana was on the children’s stand, where we had giant canvas’ for them to display their art work, a super hero colouring in station. Flair donated some plasticine for the younger ones and John Adams donated a Sand’s Alive Station (Tidy sand I like to call it lol).

One of our favourites we had Emma join us and create mini polymer clay cupcakes, which were very cute.

The kids were able to make some yummy cakes from Fimo!

Talking about yummy cakes! YUM!

We had Bob Larkin, join us from Caran d’Ache this year, we was showing some amazing creations using the different techniques.

As you can see, there were so many variations.

A little bit biased but one of my favourites was Peter Woolston, I really like his choice of imagery. Very kind of pop Art and of course.

I had to buy Yoda, who is now proudly sitting on my office wall!

For all of the Card Makers and Paper crafters out there. We were spoiling you, as we had not one but two cardmaking stalls. We had the lovely Sarah (n the left) monthly card making class at our creative hub. And we also had Roz Tinline from Crafter’s Companion (on the right) We are  hoping that Rozoz will come back and run a few workshops with us early next year.

Being an extra special year for us.

We even had the deputy Mayor come and present our plaque. This was very exciting for us as it marks our 25 years anniversary.

The plaque is now proudly displayed by the  entrance of the shop.
