An art easel is described as an upright support for the production of artistic pieces. An easel enables the user to rest a canvas or drawing surface upon it in order to complete a set piece of work whilst observing his or her subject. It also allows an artist to adjust the angle at which they can work, whilst still providing the support needed. Most easels are fully adjustable in both height and width. They are also designed to fit within small working spaces from living rooms and kitchens to studios and are generally collapsible for easy storage at home or work.
